Happy Merry Christmas, readers!

I just wanted to wish a happy holidays to all of my readers and people who pop in here! Hopefully, your day has been good! :D :D

I wish I had gotten a picture of my EOTD for yesterday - it was pretty cute! Green and red and lots of shimmer. My batteries died, however. xP I had to wait for them to charge. Maybe I'll recreate it.

Book Review: "Agents of Light and Darkness", Simon R. Green

Image yoinked from chapters.indigo.ca, because my camera's batteries keep dying.

When we last left our hero, John Taylor, he had just decided to move into the Nightside fulltime (he also acquired a secretary for his job, but that's besides the point - and she likes constantly poking fun at him) again. Couldn't have come at a better time! Things are on the move! Things are always on the move in the Nightside.

To be exact, the "things" on the move are angels (the so-called "agents of light and darkness" there in the title). They are not cherubim. They are not even like those annoying angels from Sinfest. Or like the angels from Supernatural (who are quite badass, I'll give you that much). And absolutely none of that "Touched By an Angel" crap. Noooo, the angels who have come to the Nightside are full-on Biblical. No one can even look at them without turning to salt. They care about nothing but what they have come to recover.

And what they're looking for is the Unholy Grail - the cup held by Judas at the Last Supper when he betrayed Jesus. Someone in the Nightside has it, and they will saltify anyone who they think has it.

Fyrinnae swatches!

Fyrinnae. One of the most beloved little indie makeup shops out there - and with good reason. Their products are awesome, their customer service is awesome, and they are all around awesome. The end. I love them. These are swatches of my first two orders (haven't made a third yet, will most likely be doing so in the new year, though). Some of these aren't available anymore, though. :/

Meow Hallowe'en 2010 swatches!

(Yeah. Two months after they stopped being available. Ahem.)

I only got four of the eyeshadows available from the (really really big) Hallowe'en shop that Meow offered - two from the Alien Abduction collection, two from Dance of Death.

*reappears out of nowhere*

Sorry, lovely readers, I've been away for the last couple of weeks. I was busy finishing up my assigned work for my course (and before that, finishing up NaNoWriMo - I completed the 50k, despite not really being into the story after a while). End of the year madness, of course, but now I only have to wait until my final exam is announced and I've got more free time again! And I need to reply to your comments sometime today!

(Also, is it really weird that I'm kinda already trying to figure out what my Christmas makeup looks are going to be? Even though it's not for a few more weeks...?)

Upcoming!
  • Swatches! Fyrinnae (finally. Took me long enough), Meow Hallowe'en 2010, and Hi-Fi's Art Saves!

  • Book reviews! Simon R. Green's Agents of Light and Darkness, Jim Butcher's Fool Moon, Mercedes Lackey's The Faerie Godmother, and probably a few more besides. (... writing reviews of new releases? What is this nonsense? Heh.)

  • Uh. Whatever else I think of? I don't know yet.
